Prices are for typical single-family homes. Larger homes and commercial buildings may need more samples, and we'll quote that before the visit. No travel fee anywhere in our ten-county Upstate service area.

What affects the price of mold testing

The biggest factor is the number of samples. Each air or surface sample goes to the lab separately, so a home with one problem closet needs fewer samples than a home with several affected rooms. The size of the property and whether a crawlspace or attic needs extra attention also matter.

We'll recommend the fewest samples that will answer your question. If one area of concern can be answered with fewer samples, we'll tell you.

Common questions

How much does a mold inspection cost?
Our mold inspection with air testing starts at $375 for a typical single-family home. That includes the inspection, moisture readings, three air samples with an outdoor control, accredited lab analysis and a written report.
How much does mold testing cost compared to a home test kit?
Store-bought kits cost less, but most settle-plate kits will grow mold in almost any home because mold spores are always in the air. Without an outdoor control and lab counts, the result doesn't tell you much. Professional testing measures how much and what kind, and compares it to outdoor air.
Are there travel fees?
No travel fee anywhere in the Upstate: Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, Pickens, Oconee, Laurens, Cherokee, Greenwood, Union and Abbeville Counties.
Do you charge more if you find mold?
No. Our price is set before the visit and doesn't change based on what we find. We also don't sell remediation.
