Why I started a testing-only company
I'm Preston Johnson, and I've worked in the mold and indoor environment field for years, including supervising microbial remediation. I know how cleanup works. I also know the part I care about most is the testing: going to a home, finding the source, collecting samples, and giving the owner a clear answer.
Too often, the person testing a home for mold is the same person who'll get paid to remove it. That's a hard spot for a homeowner to be in. So Blue Ridge Mold Testing does one thing. We test, and we tell you the truth about what we find.

- We never do remediation. Not in your home, not ever. We have no cleanup to sell you.
- We never take referral fees. If you need remediation, we'll describe the work so you can get fair quotes from companies you choose.
- Every sample goes to an accredited lab. No guessing from a visual walkthrough.
- Plain-language reports. You'll know what your results mean and what to do next.
- Same price either way. Our fee doesn't change based on what we find.
Background
Certified in indoor environmental assessment, with additional certification in supervisory microbial remediation and OSHA 30 safety training. I'm a U.S. Navy veteran with 8 years of service, and I run this business the way the Navy taught me: careful documentation, clear communication, and doing it right the first time.
I live in the Golden Strip with my family, coach youth sports in Greenville County, and serve homes and businesses across all ten Upstate counties.
